Since the beginning of this year, there has been an onslaught of Korean wave on the Chinese market with long-legged Oppas advertising products with their clean scrubbed face. Then comes the start of Sino-SouthKorean joint movie productions. 2 of such movies will be screened this year are "Scent" played by Park Si Hoo and Chen Ran and "Difficult Love" played by Rain and Liu Yifei.
Scent will be screened in this month and today (8 Aug) a premiere was held in Guangzhou for the press. Many reporters who had watched the movie expressed that the movie is good, much better than those that was screened in the recent weeks that focus on "hair product advertisements", "WORDS", "PPT", a movie that is worth watching to the end.
The reporter is not familiar with both leading actors of "Scent" but has read about Park Si Hoo from his case in Korean and in her words she comment on the incident as such:
" with regards to Park Si Hoo, there was a hoo-ha in Korea on him reported. It is only a suspicion that started off from his unhappy departure with his ex-agency and he was caught in a "trap". At the end, the case was closed without a verdict which lead one to deduce : one has to be extra careful when terminating a contract. As Korean entertainment circle is an unforgiving lot for artists in disgrace or who flout the law, hence when Park Si Hoo wanted to go back to acting, he was always asked to wait again and again. So Park Si Hoo had to come to China to build his career. This also shows how forgiving and magnanimous Chinese fans and entertainment circle are. Park Si Hoo's popularity in China among the fans of Hallyu wave is still very high."

Just as the reporter was wondering what kind of Chinese voice-over will Scent production team use for Park Si Hoo who doesn't speak Chinese, she was surprised and amazed that the movie is shown with the actor and actress speaking in their own languages, one in Korean, the other in Chinese and both occasionally speak in English to each other to communicate yet still able to understand each other and eventually develop a love.
The reporter doesn't like the choice of background music used for certain scenes but this is the only fault that she can find in this movie. The audience were able to feel the Korean romance wafting from the show and find Park Si Hoo's portrayal as a dedicated and loving "man servant" often bullied by the leading lady so endearing and sympathetic to his plight. The romantic aspect of the movie was considered comparable to the Korean television drama titled "Full House" starring Rain and Song Hye-kyo by this reporter. The only difference is Rain is the bully while in Scent, Park Si Hoo is the one being bullied!
In the movie, Park Si Hoo shows the ideal 3 qualities that women nowadays look for in a perfect man - able to cook, able to housekeep and able to take care of another person. Not only that, he also shows his loving, sentimental side as well as his gorgeous physique. With such perfect qualities, can Park Si Hoo make a good comeback through China? Remains to be seen in this market.

今年伊始，凶猛的韩流已经向中国市场发起了一波波的袭击。随着长腿偶吧们长期在中国刷脸卖广告外，中韩合拍电影也开始比比皆是。今年要上映的就有朴施厚和陈燃的《香气》、以及RAIN和刘亦菲的《红颜露水》。近日，《香气》即将在全国公映，今日更在广州举办了媒体试片会。不少媒体观影后表示，该片品质不俗，比起近期上映的许多“洗发水广告”、“WORD”、“PPT”之流的片子要强得多，最起码看得下去。
《香气》是由朴施厚、陈燃主演、新锐女导演曾翠珊执导。电影《香气》以气味为线索，讲述了两个不同国籍的人因一次小意外而偶然相识，两人同是为情所困，渐渐地他们从陌生到“同居”，然而又因为一只意外闯入的信鸽而产生出分分合合的奇妙情缘。

还在设想这位韩国偶吧的配音是否贴合本人时，不料电影直接来了个韩语原音，电影通篇都是男女主角一个讲韩语，一个讲中文，偶尔用英文交流，这样鸡同鸭讲的方式，居然两个人完全明白对方在说什么，并且心意相通，真是神逻辑。或许这就是爱情的奇妙之处吧，好了，这些都可以忽略不计，因为毕竟是电影，不能苛求太多。
但不得不吐槽的是，电影的配乐是片中一大败笔。几番不合时宜，却又异常密集的轻快背景音乐，让观众想要抱怨，这不是儿童舞台剧现场好吗。而片中最让人匪夷所思的是，居然在某场景配上了如同《午夜凶铃》般的惊悚配乐。敢情想问，这是唯美爱情片瞬间穿越到恐怖片的节奏吗？也太精分了。这样生硬的配乐除了让观众跳戏之外，笔者也想不出来对电影有什么实质上的帮助了。
电影虽然有瑕疵，但是优点也不少。这部合拍片颇有韩国电影清新范儿，观众犹如在看一部优美浪漫的童话。不少观众看完后都说感受到了这股浓浓的韩风气息。唯美的画面、新鲜的桥段、时尚的装扮，以及考究的细节，都让观众有不一样的观感。戏中从选景到服装搭配都能看出导演满满的诚意，相信如果剧情不能满足你的话，美术这一块也是能让你值回票价了。男女主角同居的那段，让人联想到了经典的《浪漫满屋》，只不过《浪漫满屋》中RAIN欺负宋慧乔，而这次朴施厚在陈燃的“虐待”下乖乖就范，让观众大呼看得好心疼。片中朴施厚更被塑造成时下最流行的“暖男”，不仅是会做饭、会打扫、会照顾别人的“三好男人”，更是痴情男一枚。不得不提的是，朴施厚为了该片可谓豁出去了，大秀健美身材上演唯美床戏，这也算是给影迷的一大福利。这样完美的好男人形象，会否让长腿偶吧朴施厚得以在中国翻身？还有待市场的验证。

And I always wonder how the movie will manage the difficulty with language between the actors especially Park Si Hoo. Even himself always concern before he started to choose filming this movie!
