Born in a small village in South Chungcheong province, Park Shi Hoo has a unique temperament, though has cordial smile and is polite but he keeps a strange sense of distance.
The meeting with Park Shi Hoo was held at a two-story Beijing café near Bai Zi Wan. When reporters arrived, he was still in full swing filming a notice. Perhaps due to no publicity, there was no fan or onlookers at the film set as heard of, only a few tables of guests sitting at the far side, drinking coffee and talking quietly of this "familiar looking" South Korean star.
Want to play a true love romance movie
Park Shi Hoo's visit to Beijing is to do dubbing for the movie "Aroma". This uban love movie is adapted from the novel written by Wang Bin titled "Taste", which tells the story of a Korean designer who got into love entanglement with a Chinese girl. Q : Why did you choose "Aroma" movie? What is it that attracts you?
Park Shi Hoo: First of all, I would like to star in a movie that really talk about true love, "Aroma" is such a movie, I was expecting that kind of romance. Also, I played the role of a designer, this is my dream since young, if I am not an actor, I wanted to be a designer, "Aroma" helped me to achieve this dream. And I've always liked China, very much like to be a movie star in China, which "Aroma" helped me achieve my second dream.
Q: "Aroma" is a female perspective of the film, the director and producer are also women. How do you feel working with female director and female co-producer?
A: This is my first real sense of cooperation with Chinese filmmakers, had seen before Director Zeng Cuishan's "Big Blue Lake", she is very detailed in her work, very female director peculiar charm. After genuine cooperation, I feel that she is very good at managing the actors, respect actors, and deal with emotional details in very own unique way. I think due to the whole team comprise mostly women, women are more detailed, so that leads to more perfect movie, but also presents another perspective.
Q: What impresses you during the process of filming?
A: There was a scene shot in Zhujiajiao, the day had been raining and was very cold. The scene that I played in the role of In Joon and Julie (Chen Ran) are in love, but my girlfriend suddenly appeared, I was looking for her, but forgot Chen Ran who was by my side. That day I was always running, run for a whole afternoon.
The most moving is fans accompany me every day. From my first trip to China until now, and during the whole process of filming, fans have been around to encourage and cheer me on, so I feel very warm. I am also worried about them, as they had been quietly waiting for me in the open air on such cold days.
China is my paradise
Although "Aroma" is the first Chinese film that Park Shi Hoo is participating in, but as early as 2010, he had held a fan meeting in Shanghai. A: Very happy that fans see me as such. My own personality is more detailed-oriented, like I got every role, there will be the shadow of Park Shi Hoo, I will through my own effort add something different to different roles, every role is there is a little bit of Park Shi Hoo so when add up all the characters you get a complete Park Shi Hoo.
Q: Is there any huge difference in making movies in China and South Korea?
A: China's cast and crew are very different in Korea, China arrange all the shooting time will be carried out in accordance with a plan, and very efficient, which is different from the relatively slow pace in South Korea. And Chinese crew colleagues are particularly good with me, nearly two months of shooting time, we have become friends, so sometimes reluctant, often miss the times spent shooting "Aroma", after back in Korea still keep in touch . Q: You have come to China many times, how do you feel about China? Is there any change ?
A: Every time like China more, I have always felt that China is my paradise. A: I think regardless in Korea or in China, to become a successful actor, is not easily achieved, we need rigorous training and self-management, in order to get all the love and respect. Many Koreans think Chinese artists are not easy, because of the huge population, there are more competition, want to succeed may be more difficult, tougher.
However, the management of Korean artists brokerage firm indeed is very harsh, requiring a 360-degree no dead end perfection, a little negative news might ruin the artist's career life. For example, China has a lot of actors openly in love but in Korea it is difficult. So at this point, I am very envious of Chinese artist (laughs). I hope the Korean public opinion and the public can learn from China, to be more open (in their mind set).
From another perspective, perhaps it is precisely because Korean artists are very strict managed and self-management, they are able to show a good image and appearance to the public. Q: Is there any Chinese director and actor you like?
A: The most favorite actor Tang Wei, she is very popular in Korea. I am a person who is always hopeful

出生于韩国忠清南道一个小村庄的朴施厚，却有着独特的贵公子气质，虽然笑容亲切，但彬彬有礼中透着一种莫名的距离感。
这次与朴施厚的见面，是在北京百子湾附近的一家咖啡厅的二层。记者赶到时，他还在紧锣密鼓地拍摄上一个通告。或许是行程没有对外公开，拍摄现场并没有传说中层层围观的粉丝，只有几桌客人远远地坐在一边，边品咖啡，边小声谈论着这个“看着眼熟”的韩国明星。
想演一部真正谈论爱情的电影
朴施厚此次来京，是为了给电影《香气》做后期配音。这部改编自王斌小说《味道》的都市爱情电影，讲述了一名韩国设计师与一个中国女孩儿的爱情与纠结。作为朴施厚经过一年空
白期后的复出作品，我们的谈话也自然从这部电影开始。
《国际先驱导报》：为什么会选择《香气》这部电影？是什么吸引了你？
朴施厚：首先，我特别想出演一部真正谈论爱情的电影，《香气》就是这样一部用真心去谈论爱情的电影，是我期待的那种爱情片。另外，我在剧中饰演的角色是一个设计师，这也是我从小到大的梦想，如果不做演员，我想做一个设计师，《香气》帮我圆了这个梦。而且我一直很喜欢中国，非常想在中国出演一部电影，也等于《香气》帮我圆了第二个梦。
Q：《香气》是一部女性视角的电影，导演和制片人也都是女性。跟女导演、女制片人合作的感受如何？
A：这是我第一次真正意义上和中国的电影人合作，之前看过曾翠珊导演的《大蓝湖》，觉得她拍摄的东西很细腻，很有女导演特有的韵味。真正合作之后，觉得导演很懂得调度演员，尊重演员的表演，而且处理感情细节上很有自己独特的手法。我想整个团队以女性为主，更能发挥女性的细腻，让电影更加完美，也能呈现另外一种视角。
Q：拍摄过程中有什么印象深刻的事？
A：有一场戏是在朱家角拍摄的，那天一直在下雨，非常冷。那天的戏是说，我和陈燃饰演的角色已经有感情了，但是突然我的女友出现，我一直在寻找她，却忘记了身边的陈燃。那天感觉就是一直在跑，跑了整整一个下午。
而最感动的是粉丝们的每天陪伴。从我第一次来中国一直到现在，以及整个拍摄的过程中，粉丝们一直都在周围为我鼓励和加油，让我感到很温暖。我也担心她们，那么大冷的天，一直在拍摄地外面静静地等着我。
中国是我的福地
虽然《香气》是朴施厚参演的第一部中国电影，但早在2010年，他就已经在上海开过影迷见面会。彼时刚到上海的他，被接机粉丝的热情给“吓到”。警察特意嘱咐他“待在饭店房间里，不要随便出来”，而这一嘱咐导致的直接结果就是，有粉丝只为等他出门参加活动时的匆匆一瞥，就爬20多层楼梯累到呕吐。
Q：中国的粉丝和韩国的粉丝有什么不同？
A：中国的粉丝很热情，我很感激他们从电影《香气》拍摄以来对我的支持与守候，和韩国粉丝一样，我都很感激。
Q：粉丝眼中的你是非常绅士、有品位的“暖男”，你眼中的自己是什么样子？
A：很高兴粉丝能够这样看我。我本身的性格也比较细腻，就像我接到的每一个角色，都会有朴施厚的影子，我也会通过自己的努力给不同的角色增添一些不一样的内容，可能每一个角色都是一个朴施厚，但是所有的角色加起来就是一个完整的朴施厚。
Q：在中国拍电影和在韩国拍差别大吗？
A：中国的剧组和韩国的剧组有很大差别，中国所有的拍摄时间和安排都会按照一个计划去进行，而且很有效率，这跟韩国比较慢的节奏不同。而且中国剧组的同事们都对我特别好，接近两个月的拍摄时间，大家都成为朋友了，所以有时候会舍不得，会经常怀念拍摄《香气》的时光，回到韩国后也会经常联系。接下来就是希望《香气》能够成为一部不错的作品，得到更多的人喜欢和认可。
Q：你来中国也有很多次了，对中国的感受如何？每次来有没有什么变化？
A：一次比一次更喜欢中国，我一直觉得中国是我的福地。不仅有粉丝们的爱，而且拍摄电影时需要下雨的时候就下雨，需要晴天的时候就晴天。这几天也是，本来天气预报一直说要下雨，结果到了拍摄地，就变成晴天了。
而且中国菜我都很喜欢，制片方带我吃过烤鸭、羊肉串、火锅，还有很多小吃，像爆肚、芥末墩、豌豆黄、臭豆腐等等。我觉得中国的饮食特别适合我的胃口，当然吃过之后，第二天就得疯狂地运动才能保持身材，所以经常都会很纠结（笑）。

很羡慕中国艺人的自由度
今年年初，《来自星星的你》夹带着一股强劲的韩流再次席卷中国。这部融合了俊男美女的爱情、科幻、悬疑等多种因素的电视剧，在引发全民观剧热潮的同时，也令国人开始深省韩国流行文化的优势以及中韩电视剧之间的差距。作为韩流中的一员，朴施厚对韩流的盛行也有自己的看法。
Q：在你看来，韩国流行文化产品的优势在哪里？
A：以韩国电视剧为例，包括导演、编剧、演员等在内的主创人员都非常认真，尤其是非常重视在细节方面的处理，这可能是韩国电视剧能获得中国观众喜爱的重要原因之一，这也是韩流文化产品的共有特点和优点。
Q：在很多人的印象中，韩国经纪公司对旗下艺人的要求很严格，有些人认为这也是韩流成功的原因之一。
A：我想无论在韩国还是在中国，想要成为一个成功的演员，都不是轻易可以做到的，都需要严格的训练和自我管理，才能得到众人的喜爱和尊重。很多韩国人觉得中国艺人也很不容易，因为人口多，竞争力大，想成功可能更难、更辛苦。
不过，韩国的经纪公司对艺人的管理的确非常严苛，要求360度无死角的完美，有一点负面新闻可能就会断送演艺生命。比如中国演员公开恋爱的有很多，在韩国却很难这样，对于这点，我很羡慕中国的艺人（笑）。我希望韩国的舆论和公众能向中国学习，更加开放一些。
从另一个角度来看，或许也正是因为韩国艺人被管理和自我管理都很严格，才能向公众展现出良好的形象和面貌。如果将明星也看作一种商品的话，人们都会喜欢包装得很精美的产品，而想要展现出完美的一面，就需要有一套完整的系统，包括严格训练、管理、包装和宣传等各个方面，这同样也体现了韩流产品对细节的重视。
最喜欢汤唯和张艺谋
Q：你认为目前中韩双方的文化交流现状如何？
A：以往都是韩流文化进入中国的比较多，现在也有一些中国演员参与韩国电视剧或电影的拍摄，韩国也能看到一些中国的影视剧，双方的互动越来越多。我认为这种交流方式非常好，如果只是单方面地进入，那就不是交流，而且这种文化也会渐渐丧失活力，只有双方共同来做，来交流，才能使双方的文化都更有活力和创造力，才能更健康地发展。
对于我自己来说，希望可以遇到多样、优秀的作品，通过这些作品跟大家见面，展现一个个鲜活的角色。我想这是我能做的，也是我应该做的。
Q：你看过中国的电视剧吗？
A：当然看过。在我的印象中，中国影视剧通常都是以实际生活中的故事为基础，比较贴近真实生活，会很快地让人引起共鸣，也能让观众很快投入进去。而韩国影视剧的内容一般在生活中很难遇到。但有时候这些看似非现实性的、浪漫主义题材的作品，可能会更受到女性观众的喜爱，因为可以让她们抱有一些美好的幻想，哪怕这些幻想在生活中根本不可能会遇到。
Q：有没有喜欢的中国导演和演员？
A：演员最喜欢汤唯，她在韩国很有人气。导演我很喜欢张艺谋，看过他的很多电影，《红高粱》《英雄》等，觉得他是一个很厉害的导演，可以把一个很小的故事讲得很震撼，我也一直希望有机会能跟他合作。
我是一个常常抱有希望的人

A：每个人的情况都不一样，有些人机会很容易就找上他，有些人则很难才能等到好机会，我属于后者。与其说如何战胜困难，不如说我是一个常常抱有希望的人。无论是面试落选，或者是遇到其他的困难，我都会往好的方面去想。比如因为某些原因我错过了一些作品，我就会想，下一部更好的作品在等着我。每个人都会遇到低潮和挫折，我一直相信，只要不放弃希望，用毅力和耐心，朝着目标不停地前进，慢慢地就会等来曙光。
Q：压力大的时候会做什么？
A：压力大的时候我会选择运动、吃东西或者旅游。我很喜欢到各个地方旅游，了解不一样的风土人情，还可以吃不一样的美食（笑）。
